The network has replaced the city.
Once in a time, somewhere on the Net, I stumbled upon this quote. And I believe it is true: cities, centres of trade, science, culture and power for thousands of years, are replaced by the digital networks like the Internet. And the best tool to make use of the Internet is a computer.
I love computers, and I love all the things that once could be found in the cities, but are now online. A new human being emerges – a superman – a connected man. It’s like humankind finally gets wired, finally gets a brain.
Exaggarating is one of the things I like to do. Many nerds like to do that to make their point and to create vivid discussions. I also like a hell of a lot other things, many of which are outdoors and some of which are still in the paper age. There has to be magic in it. Inner magic. To discover the zen of magic, you better be kind of a monk. And to connect to the collective brain and collective consiousness, you better be a techie. So here we are: TechMonks, ready to serve humankind.
